lyrics
Sunlight breaks on the shore
Setting sail on the open seas
Voyage to parts unknown
Coasting on the morning breeze
Searching for land ashore
Surely be fraught with pain
No reward, without a risk
Or else this will all be in vain
See the waves, rushing fast
Consciousness drowning as they crash
Feel the weight on your chest
Crushing all as your lungs compress
See the beast at the gates
Towering over all it takes
Drags us down, undertow
As we plunge forty fathoms below
Surfacing from the depths
We will all live to see the day
Searching for nearest shore
Or else will we all become the prey?
Rising seas all around
Whirlpool is spinning violently
Beast returns for what he's owed
A debt that we all must pay
See the waves, rushing fast
Consciousness drowning as they crash
Feel the weight on your chest
Crushing all as your lungs compress
See the beast at the gates
Towering over all it takes
Drags us down, undertow
As we plunge forty fathoms below
Totally new to these guys and boy, I sure am glad I checked out this record! A delicious feast of siqqq, juicy, and tasty riffs exploding into your face in a truly delectable live album, brimming with eager energy. Melodies are great, instruments sound great, mix sounds fantastic, this is just a rock solid package. Maybe I should get more live albums: the live, high-octane human musicality is like a refreshing rain in comparison to all those overproduced and computerized records out there. pinkytheent
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
Fuzzy Austin trio follow up their first album in 20 years, released in Spring 2015, with a stomping new EP of noisy rock & roll. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 26, 2016
Solid and consistent rock album. However, there are not enough defining moments or variations in style (both vocally and instrumentally) to sustain my interest for long. I struggle to recognize the song I’m listening to because they all sound so much alike. That being said, though, the band does what they do well. I just wish there was a bit more creativity. The guitar solo in Crying of the Wolves is pretty cool. 6/10. Alrihkh
